Yellowstone National Park is a strange place with a violent history. An archaic-looking volcanic landscape is prepared for the millions of predominantly white visitors in such a way that they can indulge in the illusion of untouchedness for the duration of their visit and forget that the potential for man-made and natural catastrophes is localized here - through climate-related changes or through the possibility of another eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano. The work gēotan reflects on shifting meanings of imagery and metaphors in time of a changing climate and tells of streaming, flowing and pouring.
The video installation can be seen throughout the film festival in the Stadtkino foyer.
