A women's prison in Santiago de Chile. Karina Sánchez, who has served more than six years in prison there, tells her story, which is not just her story, but the shared story of more than twenty women. All of them are mothers. Mothers in prison. And the story of the subjective collective is more than the sum of the individual stories that overlap and are similar. It is not about offenses, guilt or punishment. The focus is on the collective, the political and the claim to humanity. The photos and videos used for the film were taken by the women themselves; secretly, forbidden and over a period of six years. Thousands of videos and thousands of images were created in this way. The film only shows a part of them. It bears witness to a system that decides over bodies and lives.
