A virtual replica of the Old Rhine Bridge (replaced by the Middle Bridge) was created using 3D graphics software and original plans. The buildings and objects reconstructed to scale on the Kleinbasel side are covered with textures from contemporary photographs. In a tracking shot from the Grossbasel to the Kleinbasel side, viewers are guided past various points of information worth knowing about the bridge and its surroundings.

Philipp Gasser
Born 1958 in Chur, lives in Basel. Artist in the field of digital media art. Works with video, virtual reality and augmented reality technology, animation and installation. 1989 - 1992 Class Audiovisual Design, SfG Basel (today HGK Basel, FHNW) until 2023 Lecturer at the Institute of Art of the HGK Basel, FHNW in the field of digital media art.
