This documentary observes women in a gynecological clinic in Paris and their intimate dialogues about vulnerability and hope, pregnancy and abortion, transsexuality and cancer. Claire Simon receives her own cancer diagnosis during filming – and for a moment turns from being the observer to the observed.

Claire Simon has been a filmmaker since the 1970s. She first studied ethnology and Arabic studies and grew into film as a self-taught filmmaker. Her works transcend the boundaries of documentary and fiction and are dedicated to the everyday with particular attentiveness.
